SOLID TIRES

Amerityre manufactures solid elastomer tires made of our Elastothane™ and Kryon™ formulations. These materials are able to replace rubber with superior performing polyurethane for forklift and skid steer tires. Solid tires are used in applications where the operating environment is harsh and downtime is unacceptable.

Amerityre uses a polyurethane elastomer formulation for solid tire applications.  These materials characteristics are presented in the Our Technologies section of this site. When compared to the process used to make solid rubber tires, significant time, energy, equipment and tooling cost savings can be realized. 

Testing has shown our polyurethane elastomer materials to be superior to competitive materials in the following areas:

• High abrasion resistance / longer life
• Better elastic properties / reduced operating temperatures
• Lower rolling resistance / improved fuel economy
• UV and ozone resistant / will not break down
• No oils or plasticizers / environmentally friendly
